Description

The Billion Dollar Fabric Care regional business unit, which includes global brands such as Tide, Downy and Ariel, is an integral part of P&G growth and innovation, with Design being a core strategy in our OGSM. Within AAIJK Fabric Care, Design has the opportunity to reach every aspect of our brands and products to deliver positive and delightful consumer experiences.
This opening is for a Band 2 Design Manager responsible for leading key regional initiatives for the Fabric Care business, translating complex business strategies into actionable design objectives. Critical to success will be the individual's ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams, have strong presentation and influencing skills with key stake holders, on-time Design deliverables, and have passion for execution excellence.

The Design Manager will work with the AAIJK Fabric Care team.
Important Responsibilities of Job:
  • Strong ownership and understanding of the AAIJK Fabric Care Brand Equity, Visual ID and Brand Architecture.
  • Lead the design process for Initiative Design starting from Design Brief to deliver the final qualified design into Markets. The work includes regional packaging / adaptation of global design / in-store design etc.
  • Establish, partner and maintain strong working relationships with other Regional/Global Design Managers, Design Agency(s), external agencies and internal Multi-functional team members.
  • Manage External Partner(s) required to support planned Design (Design Agencies, Production Agencies, Separators, Printers)
  • Accountable for Design initiative budget and delivery of design value creation
  • Lead multi-functional coordination globally for Design Initiatives (Marketing, R&D, CMK, PS, etc.)
  • Align Design Initiative execution plan and manage scope of work
  • Manage escalation of issues for category (Business, Agencies, Suppliers)

Qualifications

We are looking for people who possess
Mastery
A strong foundation of technical mastery in Brand Identity, Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design. Passion for design that sparks creativity and innovation with external partners and creates momentum across functions. Current resume and portfolio that demonstrate expertise in bringing a global brand's equity to life across regional touch points. Strong emphasis in package design and FMOT. Must have design working experience and knowledge with the Asian consumer.

Operates with Discipline/Project Management
Must have exceptional leadership skills and be able to lead multiple initiatives with excellence, delivering them within budget and on time.

Leverages Design as a Business Practice
Demonstrating the role, value and power of Design in connection to the business.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others. Role will require successful partnership cross-functionally and externally. Must be able to inspire external design talent with a communication style that is clear, concise, and effective across cultural boundaries.

Other information

  • Travel expected within Asia, attend research and collaborate with external partners.
  • Minimal global travel, as required by key projects or the Design function.
