In this phase the Associate Manager absorbs conusmer, market and/or customer/shopper and business understanding and research skills, and applies them to his/her business situation. The objective is to translate the consumer and market knowledge into business building ideas and in right decision-making. This is a phase of much learning: on-the-job as well as via formal courses within the company or outside seminars. Associate Managers report to Managers or Senior Managers who lead them through a variety of training and coach them on-the-job to develop CMK skills. The Associate Manager will be responsible for consumer &amp; market understanding for a specific brand such as Pantene, Head &amp; Shoulders, Tide, Ariel for a specific country or a group of countries and will be part of a brand team. In the country the Associate Manager will be responsible for leading customer and shopper understanding and converting that into actionable ideas.<br/><br/>Business contributions will include:<br/>1. Understanding the business problem/opportunity, converting it into a research objective;<br/>2. Working with more senior managers and expert resources to choose the best research tools and tests to address the problem/opportunity, culminating in recommending research design;<br/>3. Analyzing and interpreting data objectively and accurately and making recommendations on how to maximize potential of the opportunity being researched;<br/>4. Analyzing and interpreting data from secondary/external resources to determine market and consumer trends and make business building recommendations;<br/>5. Ensuring that internal business partners know what consumers and/or shoppers/customers are saying by proactively seeking, analyzing and sharing learning;<br/>6. Identifying need for additional research and analysis based on the business context; and<br/>7. Gains a foundational understanding of the market and consumer in terms of market size, growth, key segments, consumer habits, practices, attitudes based on existing data available. In customer/shopper area, gains fundamental understanding of customer, retail industry trends and shoppers. A Marketing Plan is a strategy / series of choices, which identifies specific marketing decisions and actions. ABM's will also be required to regularly analyze business results and progress by doing financial and competitive research. Additional responsibilities include:<br/><br/>1.
