The Account Manager's core work is Selling - to achieve successful sales by persuasively influencing customers / distributors to adopt products, ideas and improved processes in order to build long-term business, for both the customers / distributors and the Company. Account Managers design business plans, which will deliver sales and market share objectives and help customers to develop their business. Therefore, a Key Account Manager is responsible for:
1. Territory & Business Management
2. Selling
3. Working with Customer/Distributors
4. Leading, Managing & Developing Seller Teams.
As a new Key Account Manager with P&G, your work will encompass some or all of the responsibilities described above. Every New Hire will have a detailed work plan with clear goals and measures. Periodically, this work plan will be reviewed to monitor the delivery of business results against specific goals. While you will be independently responsible for delivering your work plan, the organization will support you with formal training and daily coaching from your immediate manager.
