Description

Plant technicians with Chemistry Degree are hired at Level 1 as members of a work team. Work teams perform daily bench work, are responsible for ensuring raw materials, packing materials, and finished product are tested according to standards, and determine disposition of materials and finished product to support supply chain need. Work teams conduct problem analyses, investigations, instrument/method troubleshooting, and issue resolution as necessary. Technicians do various types of work to include operating testing equipment, using computers to track/monitor data, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, identify/improve procedures/results, develop individual capability, and help others improve their capability. Technicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations and confront business-related problems.
  1. Conduct testing of raw materials, analyze results, and determine if raw material attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
  2. Conduct testing of packing materials, analyze results, and determine if packing material attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
  3. Conduct testing of in-process product, analyze results, and determine if in-process product attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
  4. Conduct testing of finished product, analyze results, and determine if finished product attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
  5. Develop and conduct quality assurance programs.
  6. Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed
  7. Train others in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  8. Implement safety procedures
  9. Implement quality procedures.
  10. Strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Chemistry or Biology or have successfully completed these college courses: General Chemistry, Qualitative Chemistry, Quantitative Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Course in Analytical Instrumentation, and 2 years of Algebra and/or Calculus or person with the following experience/skills: a minimum of 5 years experience working in Analytical Lab, with experience in titrations, extractions, pH, viscometers, HPLC, IC, GC, IR, UV/VIS, Compendial testing

Description

Plant Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technicians are being hired as members of a high performance work team. E&I Technicians are responsible for enabling production throughput, reducing equipment downtime, eliminating defects, and building technical mastery. They focus on initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects with the goal of delivering the best product, at the lowest cost, with the highest quality, and in a safe environment. E&I Technicians are expected to have electrical technical mastery in order to successfully troubleshoot problems and to proactively improve production systems. E&I Technicians perform various types of work, such as:
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, making, and facilities power & controls equipment
  • Using electrical test equipment to diagnose electrical problems
  • Performing preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment
  • Troubleshooting, monitoring, & programming PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems
  • Troubleshooting and monitoring variable frequency drives, servo control systems, robotics
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machine and process control equipment
Individuals with an electrical-based AAS (Associates of Applied Science) degree or equivalent electrical work experience should apply. Familiarity with the National Electric Code is a plus. Additional skills we are seeking include experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and HMI's, instrumentation calibrations, motor control systems, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution (<600V), Wonderware, and control system networking. In addition, we are seeking individuals with good interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. All applicants must be willing to rotate shifts and pass a drug screening, physical, and several job-related skill tests.
