Description

Co-op positions are non-management positions with exposure to tasks related to larger projects. Co-op positions are viewed as pre-entry level and offer an opportunity for the Co-op to learn the office environment and how administrative work is accomplished. Co-ops also become exposed to what a non-management career offers at P&G and are encouraged to explore their personal goals and whether this is the career match for them.
Co-ops report to Supervisors in their area of work for training and coaching. The Co-op Program also offers a wide range of training on P&G culture and work norms. This, combined with an affiliation among Recruiting Specialist, Co-op Supervisors, and Co-ops, provides a thorough evaluation forum for Co-op performance and fit to the job.

Responsibilities, though they may vary according to the specific Co-op role, are as follows:
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties for assigned supervisor/manager/team.
  • Maintain on-going projects such as appointment scheduling, weekly report reviews, posting content to Internet/Intranet, organizational budgets, data input and integrity.
  • Operate within Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Perform normal office tasks such as creating PowerPoint presentations, data entry, setting up meetings/appointments, maintaining files and receiving, referring, or answering postal mail and emails.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and functional/organizational events.

Qualifications

Students participating in SuccessWay Co-op Program must:
  • Successfully complete an application and interviews.
  • Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between P&G and a college/university, and be enrolled as a Co-op student in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the Company.
  • Completion of the degree under which student enters the program. Minimum degree requirement: Associates.
  • Have a 2.5/4.0 GPA at the time they apply and consistently maintain that GPA throughout the program.
  • Commit to work two 20 week full time assignments. Timing of the training assignments will be left up to the student. Timing for the full-time employment will be upon successful completion of the two 20 week assignments and the students' graduation.
  • Co-op sessions are considered temporary employment, with a predicted ending point. No full-time employment commitments are made; however, depending on satisfactory completion of certain criteria, and upon graduation, candidates may be considered for full-time positions where external target exists.

Soft Skills:

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, ability to work with little supervision, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work well with others, take initiative, handle confidential information in a discreet manner, and are a team player.

Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
